PARKMASTER
100
has come down firmly on the side of
a modular system. In practice that means maximum
security of investment and user-friendliness
which is reflected on three levels:
1) Every machine consists of function units which
are complete in themselves and can be exchanged or
upgraded like building
blocks.
2) Once a parking management system has been set
up, it can be extended at
will because of the open system structure.
3) Several systems can easily be combined into a
single complex integrated system - thanks to the
superior networking
capabilities of PARKMASTER 100.
Networking
Our extensive networking concept gives you the
security of being able to use all the options of
modern parking space management in the future too.
The conceptual
diagram shows schematically all the
possibilities offered by PARKMASTER 100.
Internal
networking
All machines within a parking area are
controlled centrally by the system management
computer and independently of the service terminal.
This means maximum security against breakdown
caused either by operational faults or by software
problems in the terminal.
External
networking
Using the standard TCP/IP Internet protocol,
any authorised user can access the local network
and control all functions. It is therefore
possible, using ISDN, modem or a combination of
laptop and GSM mobile phone, to maintain the
system from practically any point on earth.
Large,
complex systems
This up-to-date technology permits the
construction of very large systems with up to 40
separate car parks. We has extensive experience in
building car parks at airports and in city-wide
networks.
Data interchange with
external management systems
The concept of open interfaces allows you
to simply add on e.g. facility management or
accounting systems.
Data
Carrier
The availability of different
types of accounting and handling systems is
the key factor when considering the practical
suitability of an automatic car park management
system. With PARKMASTER 100 you can use all
commonly available data carriers and processes.
Car
park tickets with central magnetic stripes This method
- which has proved
successful over decades - guarantees smooth
handling because it is possible to insert the
ticket in all four directions. Legibility is
guaranteed even if the ticket is damaged, thanks
to the fact that the data is recorded twice. And
of course the cost of producing the tickets can
generally be covered by the advertisements printed
on them.
Standard
magnetic cards and contact chip cards
DESIGNA's
single slot technology allows all commonly
available cards with magnetic strips along the
edges to be processed in the same reading device
as tickets with magnetic strips down the centre.
The whole parking process can be handled using credit
or EC cards, so that it is no longer
necessary to take a ticket and visit the pay desk.
"Electronic purses" like Geldkarte or
Quick can be programmed into the system equally
easily.
Barcode
ticket
For simpler
applications DESIGNA offers bar
code technology as an interesting
alternative.
Hands-free
PARKMASTER
100 supports various systems for hands-free
identification of persons using long-stay car
parks and users of credit/cash cards. Products
range from proximity terminals with reading
distances measured in centimetres to hands-free
applications with a range of 10 metres. As all
these systems operate without any moving parts or
electrical contacts, they are not in any way
subject to wear and tear.
Parking
chips
"CHIPMASTER"
technology is an interesting and practical
alternative to the parking ticket. The
self-contained circulation
of plastic data carriers requiring little
maintenance means that running costs are similar
to those of manufacturing tickets.
